Bartosz Skłodowski

A PhD student of the Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk, a participant and laureate of competitions at national and international levels.

He is an avid concert performer, both as a soloist and a chamber musician. Albeit young in age, he has already performed many recitals and concerts in, i.e. Czechia, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Slovenia. He does well on stage, playing with both Polish and foreign orchestras.

He has been honing his skills on many courses and open lessons by exceptional pedagogues.

For his artistic achievements he has received many scholarships, i.a. from the Rector of the Academy of Music in Gdansk, Marshal Office of the Pomeranian Region, the City of Gdansk and from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.

Maciej Zagórski

An alumnus of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Warsaw, in the piano class of professor Kazimierz Gierżoda. He studied under professor Walter Fleischmann in the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Furthermore, he took part in many master courses carried out by brilliant Russian and American pedagogues such as Victor Merzhanov, Rudolf Kerer, Vladimir Feltsmann, Arkady Aronow, Lev Natochenny, or Peter Eicher, to name a few.

He is a laureate of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski competition (Bydgoszcz 1986) and the Polish Piano Festival (Słupsk 1991). In 2006 he was awarded the Częstochowa City’s President’s Award.

He has performed with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, National Philharmonic Orchestra, and multiple times with the Czestochowa Philharmonic and other Polish symphonic bands. He performs solo and chamber recitals in Poland and abroad (Europe, Japan, Palestine, Russia, USA). He recorded several albums as a soloist (Bach-Busoni, Beethoven, Maciejewski) and as a chamber musician (songs of Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Debussy and Szymanowski along with Katarzyna Suska – mezzosoprano).

Since 1991 he has been involved with the Jan Długosz Academy in Czestochowa, since 2008 he is a professor there.
