Joanna Goranko

Joanna Goranko was born 21.02.2001 in Poland, Opole. She graduated Music High School in Poznan (Poland) in the piano class of Professor Joanna Marcinkowska. Currently, she is a student of Professor Zbigniew Raubo in Karol Szymanowski Music Academy, Katowice. She has taken part in master classes led by, among others, Ewa Pobłocka, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Dang Thai-Son and Kevin Kenner. She has given concerts in many Polish cities, in Pamplona, Munich, Moscow and Vienna. Joanna has won awards in numerous piano competitions, including the Chopin International Piano Competition for Young Pianists in Foshan (Third Prize); the All-Poland Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (Third Prize); and the Maurycy Moszkowski International Piano Competition ‘Per aspera ad astra’ in Kielce (First Prize and Grand Prix), Piano Competition "Halina Czerny-Stefańska in Memoriam" (First Prize in 2016), CEA Piano Competition in Warsaw (Grand Prix). She is also a laureate of the Chopin Piano Competition (2017) in Darmstadt. J. Goranko has presented her interpretations of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Liszt in the framework of piano recitals in Pamplona and San Sebastian, Munich, Moscow, Vienna, and many places in Poland included the Fryderyk Chopin Birth Place in Zelazowa Wola and F.Chopin Museum in Warsaw. She took part two times in Chopin Piano Festival (Duszniki Zdrój) 2017/2019.
For extraordinary achievements Joanna was granted the scholarship by Polish Minister of Culture in 2015 and 2017.
